While it's been a bit since this blog has been updated, The Friends of the Hawley Library have been very busy. Our main fundraiser this year has been our monthly book sales.
Our next event is a GOLD PARTY - something new for us. On Wednesday, August 24th from 5 to 7 at the library we are holding a gold, silver and old coin buying party. Light refreshments will be served. Items that will be evaluated include gold jewelry, silver coins (old) sterling silver pieces such as silver ware and silver jewelry. So take a look around for that single earring or class ring you haven't worn since you graduated from high school. Gold prices have risen to unexpected highs so now is the time to see just what that gold and silver is worth. A portion of the buyers commission will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
